Jan Sayers
Jan is a valued committee member and quiet achiever who has bounced back after some injury setbacks. She performed exceptionally well at Nationals, winning her first ever individual gold medal in the 800m free! She broke club records in 50m, 400m and 800m free, adding to the 100m and 200m records she broke at States, dominating the short course freestyle in 75-79 year women. She was a valued member of our National record breaking 320-359 women’s freestyle relay. Jan is a great role model and we appreciate her warm nature.
Thomas Radford
Thomas had an exceptional meet at State Short Course, swimming 9 all time personal best times of 10 events, including taking 7 seconds off his 200 free and breaking 25 seconds for 50 free! He broke 8 club records, posting some of the fastest times of any dolphin in some events. His achievements were recognised by many club members and we look forward to seeing what he achieves at State Long Course!
Rod Clarke
In the month that Rod turned 80 he broke the short course Victorian records in 50m and 100m Freestyle. He also broke club records in 50m Backstroke and 50m Breaststroke. At the end of February he also broke the Victorian record for long course 50m Freestyle. A consistently strong performer in the pool, we look forward to seeing what else he achieves this year!
